“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
– Matthew 7:13-14
Why do we follow a path just because it’s there? It’s human nature.
Be careful as you choose your path, Dear One.
Just because it’s worn doesn’t mean it’s going to get you where you want to go.

Pingback: An Everlasting Love | Chalkboard Printable | Joy {Love} Day! - An Extraordinary Day
Somehow as I read this I remembered the poem I learned as a child that contained the phrase, “And I took the one less traveled and that has made all the difference.” Okay…I’m not sure that I have the wording exactly….but it really speaks to this verse and the knowledge (and experience) of getting caught up with the flow of the crowd. It isn’t where Peace (and LIFE) resides. Thanks for the reminder. Even here in the blogging world, it’s easy to go off on a different path. Maybe a good one…but not THE BEST one.
May your weekend be filled with extraordinary JOY, Shelly!

Oh, yes, I love that poem! The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost, I believe. Thanks for reminding me of that, Diane, that lesson fits in perfectly here. Heart Hugs, Shelly <3
A great word today, Shelly! And to quote Robert Frost: “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
Blessings, Joan

Oh I love this Shelly! Only when we put our trust in God can we experience the straight path that God has in store for us. After all, God has “plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope” (Jeremiah 29:11).
What a lovely pleasure to link up with you today!
Hugs and blessings!
