So Jacob served seven years for Rachel, and they seemed to him but a few days because of the love he had for her. – Genesis 29:20 |
Sometimes life doesn’t feel very savor-worthy, does it?
Sometimes it feels like those dark, difficult times just stretch on and on until it feels like an eternity. How can we endure? How can we persevere, as the Bible calls us to do?
There’s only one answer.
Love.
Not just any old love. Love that is first given to us. Love that literally shakes the world. Love that longs and dreams and anticipates the day when we will be reunited.
and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ – Mark 12:30
Though it may be many years, it can seem but a few days.
Because of the love you have for Him.
And he said, “O man greatly loved, fear not, peace be with you; be strong and of good courage.” And as he spoke to me, I was strengthened and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.” – Daniel 10:19
Heavenly Father, Oh how I love You! Thank You for Your own amazing love that makes it possible to endure. In Jesus’ Name, Amen…

Thank you SO MUCH, dear Sister in Christ! This devotional, along with the music video, has been one of the means used by God to lift me out of a recent season of depression. I have watched the video over and over, along with my children– and we have danced together to the Beat of His LOVE! May the Lord continue to strengthen and fill you with Himself. I believe this Scripture is true of your life– Isaiah 58:10-11 “If you extend your soul to the hungry And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And your darkness shall be as the noonday. The LORD will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.” Your life is a spring of living waters that is bringing new life into the wilderness places of others’ hearts. I thank God for you. With love, Til
