After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not fear, Abram, I am a shield to you; Your reward shall be very great.” – Genesis 15:1
Why do we not fear? Because He is our shield.
When worry surrounds you on every side. When pain closes in… don’t forget to lift that shield.
in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. – Ephesians 6:16
And very great will be our reward.
But You, O Lord, are a shield about me,
My glory, and the One who lifts my head. – Psalm 3:3
Today, I created a shield. I made mine from paper and images/scriptures found online. If you’re artsy or inspired, you can use any medium you like and make this as fancy as you like. My theme was faith, since that’s what our shield is for our Christian armor. You can create this in your journal, if you’d prefer. But if you want a printable, click the outline below to be brought to it.
Here’s what mine looks like:
Sweet Jesus, our shield of faith in You can quench ALL the fiery arrows of the evil one. How can we ever thank You enough? We believe. We love. We trust. In Your Name, Amen…
