Recommendation Saturday: Examine Carefully & Link-Up!

But examine everything carefully;
hold fast to that which is good
– 1 Thessalonians 5:21

Kate_Ter_Haar_FlickrSometimes when we experience something
for the first time, all we can see is the excitement,
the beauty, the smooth glossy surface.
We might not see as easily how quickly we could fall if we don't take cautious steps and maintain our balance.
We don't understand that knowing what's underneath could be valuable information.

This adorable little girl in the video decides to do some examining of her own.

  1. Dear Shelly
    Oh, isn't she just adorable. I remember how frightening it was the day when I finally that handing the reigns of my life over in Pappa's Hands was the most clever thing one can ever do!! But when I did, how sweet was His Love that just wrapped itself around me. You know, all those years when I tried to help Him in running my life, He just used for good and His glory. This life we live at the end of our tether is not comfortable, but oh, so wonderful beyond words. I am glad I found your linky through Joan, my friend. I will add you to my Tea Time and Link-Up Page. How are you doing?
    Blessings XX

    • So glad you found my link-up, too, Mia! This is only the 2nd week, so it's still a baby. 🙂 Thanks so much for linking up with your lovely words. The think I love most about this life IS the tether! One of my favorite verses of my favorite hymn says "Let thy goodness, like a fetter bind my wandering heart to thee."

  4. Sweet video! That verse is so important. Our pastor always encourages us to weigh everything according to scripture, even his own sermons. We really do need to be a people in the Word so we will know what is good when the time comes. I saved your button and will be back another weekend to link up with you! Thanks for this! Blessings
