Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father, and sometimes it curses those who have been made in the image of God. And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right! Does a spring of water bubble out with both fresh water and bitter water? – James 3:9-11
There’s just a certain sound you expect when an animal opens its mouth. Cows moo, dogs bark, cats meow. That’s just the way it is.
What’s coming out lately when you open your mouth? Christians love, sisters praise, brothers encourage. That’s just the way it should be.
“So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” – John 13:34-35

These words are a part of a prayer that fell off my lips today…remembering that we can’t do both and be stable and solid in our wallking with Christ. I am so thankful for his Grace and His Mercy and that when we speak His name we rehearse His wonder.
Blessings,
Dawn
