“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows” (James 1:17)
Sometimes I feel like this life of chronic illness and disability is a never-ending guessing game. I keep trying to adapt, find a new rhythm, but the rules keep changing on me.
Learning your new activity level is hard! It can be cringe-worthy as you wait to see what will set your body off. It’s especially hard when no day is the same as the one before. How are we supposed to find a “new norm” when the rules are constantly changing on us with no warning?
Rest Ministries is a really special place. Seriously.
Please while you’re finishing this post there, take a few minutes to look around and see what they have to offer. <3

Shelley you are so right everyday is a new day. Thanks for sharing.
It is hard. I know too what you are expressing. Having asked and believed that this thorn in my flesh shall be removed as I was healed before does not stop me from praising God in the midst of those everyday unknowns. That is the secret isn’t it! To live in praise and thankfulness. I’m so grateful you do. You shine for others to see God!

Thank you Shelly.
You are so right when you say “no day is the same as the one before”. It IS hard.
I’m just so comforted that our God is always the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow.
Saying a prayer for your wellbeing.
Love you. Linda.
