Recommendation Saturday: Unique Wrapping Ideas

After coming into the house they saw the Child with Mary His mother; and they fell to the ground and worshiped Him. Then, opening their treasures, they presented to Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

  1. What a fun video to watch, Shelly.
There were some clever ideas in it.

I LOVE wrapping gifts and having some creative fun with doing it.
This year, I simply bought a somewhat huge roll of a bit “off white” craft paper at Michael’s ( large craft store in our area – maybe national store, not sure ) and then got creative with gift tags going onto them.

More than the wrapping, I simply love the “giving” of gifts.

    Merry Christmas!

    • I love to give gifts, too, Lynn, and can always barely wait til the time to give them. 🙂 I’m always giving gifts early. With your creativity, I bet you make some lovely gifts. I am so non-artistic and non-crafty, but I love watching. Love you! Merry Christmas! Heart Hugs, Shelly <3

  2. Shelly, I no longer can “make” gifts but love remembering the days when I’d cross-stitch gifts even way back when I could sew and make such things as matching placemats and napkins.

Now any “creativity” may come through small things, like a creative gift tag which is ‘huge” relatively speaking and does make me smile in the accomplishment.

Then again, I was just trying to hang a dried floral wreath on my wall. My cousin helped me a few weeks ago to re-do it as she has a glue gun and a place where she can get the same kind of floral species and we placed the new dried blooms in place. Over the years they do dry out more and darken but I love this wreath so much, I want to “keep it”.

But it has needed a couple more “blooms” to even it which neither one of us “caught” when it was done those weeks ago. I was stumbling all over the place just to try and get those blooms “elmer glued” in and – it was not a pretty sight me so dizzy I had to sit down and will return to getting it hanging straight on the wall “later” – plus a couple more places that need to be filled in and will get “creatively done”!!

Heart hugs back to you – sweet friend!

  3. Shelly…that was a fun video. I’ve used comics to wrap gifts and I have done the toilet paper roll idea she shared. I try hard to disguise our gifts because I don’t like it when our kids figure out their gift before they get it. Tee hee! 🙂 Thank you for hosting and I pray that you my friend have a wonderful, Christ-filled, merry Christmas! Much love and lots of hugs.

    • Naomi, we’re always trying to think of ways to keep them guessing! I love putting beans or rice into the packages so they sound like something different. 🙂 Merry Christmas! Love you. Heart Hugs, Shelly <3
