Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. - Isaiah 41:10
I confess, this imagery grabs me right by the heart and just refuses to let me go.
I picture His merciful hand lifting me up to see the sunrise, when I'm in the valley. I imagine myself kneeling in His mighty hand when the fears and anxiety overwhelm.
What do you see in your mind's eye when you read this verse?
Our activity today is for you to break out your creativity and bring that image to life. I know, I know, not everyone is an artist. I'm at the top of that list. Just to show you that the creation doesn't have to be perfect, just heartfelt, here is my image I created for this post:
I prayed about my worries today, and about God's rescue, as I drew this. I offered it up to Him as worship.
I hope you will, too.
Father, You are with me. You are my God. Strengthen and help me. Cradle me and hold me up with Your victorious right hand. In Jesus' Name, Amen...
