And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. – Romans 8:27
As a music lover, harmony is one of my favorite things. I just love it. It gives me goosebumps and can make me cry, simply because it is so, so beautiful.
The next time you see a gorgeous example in nature of symmetry… the next time you hear a stunning piece of perfectly harmonized music… may it remind you that our God is a God who creates and perfects.
The Spirit pleads for us. Even while we cry out, the Spirit presents our cares as a beautiful harmony, a pleasing fragrance, a perfectly balanced, beautiful noise.
And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. – Romans 8:27
That verse just makes every care seem so small. What more could I ask that for an intercessor who presents my case beautifully in harmony with God’s own will. How can we go wrong with such a blessing?
Dear Lord, may even my bitterest tears be a pleasing fragrance to You. May my cries be interpreted as harmony. May my pleas show the perfect symmetry of trust in You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen…

So thankful that our cries and pleas are heard by him– and not only heard but acknowledged and answered! 🙂 Thanks for this reminder, Shelly. Love you!

The Holy Spirit is such a beautiful blessing, isn’t it, Sharita? Love you, too! Heart Hugs, Shelly <3
I grew up in a church tradition that utilized acapella music exclusively. As a result, I love four-part harmony! Thanks for the lesson to let that remind me of God’s perfect creation. Appreciate you linking up to Testimony Tuesday today too!

It’s a pleasure every week, Holly! I grew up with acapella music, too, and there’s nothing quite like the beauty of that harmony. Heart Hugs, Shelly <3
You have such a beautiful way with words, Shelly. I love these words: Even while we cry out, the Spirit presents our cares as a beautiful harmony, a pleasing fragrance, a perfectly balanced, beautiful noise.
I find it awesome that God’s Spirit intercedes for me and for you before the Throne of Grace.
I love harmony, also, and enjoy acappella singing. Our High School has the most barbershop choirs of any school in the world, and my city has the most choirs of any city in the world- and our school girls chorus have been world champions or runner up for several years- so I hear this sort of singing a lot as I move around the school. Many of our students are Pacific Islanders, and most Christian- and their voices are wonderful indeed.

Interceding for you as the Spirit directs, day by day.

Mary, I LOVED listening to those groups you sent! Thank you for that! Heart Hugs, Shelly <3
This is a beautiful post and a wonderful reminder of the harmony that He has created in the world. I especially liked this “The next time you see a gorgeous example in nature of symmetry… the next time you hear a stunning piece of perfectly harmonized music… may it remind you that our God is a God who creates and perfects.”
